The Kentucky Division of Forestry assists private forest landowners by educating them about the importance of their forestland and by providing technical assistance to help them obtain the personal management goals for their property.
Whether you own one acre or a thousand, the Kentucky Division of Forestry can provide valuable technical assistance advice to forest landowners in the management of existing woodlands or the creation of a new woodland.
The Kentucky Forest Stewardship Program is available to all private, nonindustrial forestland owners who own 10 or more acres of woodlands. Technical planning assistance is provided to these landowners to assist them in reaching the land use goals of their forests. There may be cost-share funding to cover the costs of implementing some forestry practices.
Technical planning assistance is also available to landowners who own less than 10 acres to assist them in reaching the land use goals of their smaller acreages.
