PLT Workshop Schedule

Kentucky PLT Workshops

This page provides information about upcoming Project Learning Tree (PLT) workshops. Project Learning Tree in Kentucky has been growing.  Rediscover the fun of PLT with our new K-8 activity guide featuring literature and technology connections or our new high school module, Exploring Environmental Issues: The Places We Live.

PLT workshops:

Make your work easier
Receive a nationally-acclaimed activity guide filled with 96 lesson plans that are correlated to the Kentucky Education Cabinet state standards. The lesson plans are differentiated and easy to implement in class.

Take advantage of opportunities
New research shows that using nature as a tool for learning can serve as powerful therapy for children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Learning about the environment also improves students’ science-related skills.

Increase enjoyment
The hands-on, cross-content activities bring the “pizzazz” factor back into the classroom without sacrificing depth or breadth. All materials have been classified as high quality by the North American Association of Environmental Education.

If you would like to schedule a workshop for your school, camp or community, contact Jennifer Turner by e-mail or by phone at 502-564-4496. A minimum of 10 participants are needed.
